Draft By Weight

Draft animals based on weight during a live session. For example, set a session to automatically draft cattle over 450kg that are ready for sale while drafting lighter animals to an alternative pen/paddock. Watch the video here

How to get started

  1. Start a new live session or edit your existing templates
  2. Ensure you have both a Weight step and Draft step included in your template
  3. In the Draft section, choose the By weight option
  4. Enter number of draft options (2-10)
  5. Enter weight ranges and select the target paddock for each draft
  6. Plus, you can select additional manual draft to have available too
  7. Click Save

During the live session, each animal will be drafted automatically based on the new weight recorded (you can override this during the session if you need)

Tablet View

For those users who use iPads or other tablets you will now see an updated layout - allowing quicker action to menu items and showing more useful info without needing to scroll. For the best experience, use in the landscape orientation.

How to get started

Once you start a Live Session using a tablet, you will now see the new collapsible menu to the left of the screen.

These quick buttons can be used throughout the session - or hidden away using the icon in the bottle left.

Key options to call out:

  • View Current Stats - this will show the current summary of the session, without having to press finish.
  • Update Hardware - use this to edit or change any connections you have during the session
  • Add a Note/ Add a Record - quickly add a note/record to the current animal in the session
  • Pause or Change Setup - use this to pause the session or go back to the setup to change anything.

Record Templates

The order of the records is determined by the order you place the steps in when creating the template. Unless you have an add animals step, in this case, that will always remain first.
